Being with you.....makes Christmas special

Inside of Card

This is a brand new stamp set I just recently purchased at my local scrapbook store, it's a brand I'm not familiar with called Impression Obsession, I just loved this image, it reminded me of my hubby and me.
I really liked the quality and they stamp so well.

As you can see, I can't seem to get enough of this paper, it's the My Minds Eye ~ Wonderful winter, I seem to be in the pink & red holiday mood this year....I also wanted to try the Flower Soft in Polar White, it's my first time trying this and I'll be honest, I can't say I love it yet, but I like it so far.  I used the Flower Soft glue to apply the Flower Soft, then pressed softly and let it sit for awhile, I then removed the excess....I applied Stampin' Up! dazzling diamond onto the Snowman and Snowlady and colored it using Copic Sketch markers.

Thanks for stopping by!

Materials/Supplies used:  Cardstock - Papertrey Ink (kraft & Pure Poppy, Patterned Paper - My Minds Eye Wonderful Winter, Image was stamped on Taylored Expressions - Buttercream, Punches - Martha Stewart scallop with hearts & Artic Snowflake, Button - Making Memories, Rhinestones - Kaiserkraft, Stampin' Up! - Dazzling Diamonds, Flower Soft and Flower Soft glue by Flower Soft, Copic Sketch Markers, Ink - Memento Ink in Tuxedo Black, Spellbinders Nestabilities Square scallop, Pop- up dots by Ek Success, lace (unknown).

House Mouse - I'm dreaming of a White Christmas

Hi Everyone! Here's one of my favorite House-Mouse stamp images....isn't it too cute?  Well, I finally got to use my new sewing machine ~ okay, I know I need a lot of practice, it took me a while to learn how to get it up and running, that outta tell you how much I know about sewing, but I really want to learn, so I'm thinking about taking a class, we'll see how that goes.   I had a difficult time trying to get the stitch straight, I suppose I can get away with it by just saying it adds character to my card...LOL!  I'm going to have to practice that some more.

I used Basic Grey- Wassail 6"x6" paper pad and for my card base I used Stampin' Up! cardstock in Very Vanilla as well as Papertrey Ink cardstock in Pure Poppy, I stamped my image onto Buttercream paper by Taylored Expressions using Memento Ink in Tuxedo Black.  Colored my image using Copic Sketch markers, then cut image using Spellbinders Nestabilities Large Labels and used Scalloped Rectangles for the layer, distressed the edges using Tim Holtz distress ink in Vintage Photo, added rhinestones onto the 4 corners of the scalloped square and applied Stampin' Up Dazzling Diamonds onto the furry part of their Santa hats.  For the sentiment, I used a Christmas stamp set from Recollections that I purchased at Michaels.

I've entered this card into the House-Mouse challenge #84

Thank you for stopping by!

Materials/Supplies used:  Stampin' Up! cardstock in Very Vanilla, Papertreyink cardstock - Pure Poppy, Pattern Paper by Basic Grey Wassail collection, rhinestones by Studio 18 (Michaels), image stamped on Taylored Expressions - Buttercream paper, Nestabilities Scalloped rectangles & Large Labels, House-Mouse stamp, Stampin' Up - Dazzling Diamond glitter, Clear stamp set from Recollections, Copic Sketch Markers, sewing machine for the stiching.

Sarah Kay - Noel Joy

It's finally starting to get a bit cold (and I say that lightly), here in Arizona, well, atleast in the area that I live in.  I can't seem to get inspired to create Christmas/Holiday cards when it's warm and sunny out, it's just not happening.

Okay, so here is another wonderful image from Sarah Kay by Stampavie called "Noel Joy".  I think she is just lovely!  I colored my image using Copic Sketch markers and added Stampin' Up dazzling diamonds glitter onto the furr of the coat as well as the patch of snow beneath her, and just a dust of it on top of the mailbox (it's difficult to see the glitter on the photo, but it really makes the image stand out in person).
Using tiny red gemstones, I applied them to her hat to similate the berries.  The paper I used was from a My Minds Eye paper stack called Sweet Dreams Holiday Avenue.

As far as the sentiment goes....well, I couldn't make up my mind just yet what I wanted to use, so I'm going to wait until I'm ready to mail it,  then I'll decide on what sentiment to add to it.

Materials/Supplies used: Cardstock - Stampin' Up! Real Red, Pattern paper - My Minds Eye, Gemstones - both red & clear by The Paper Studio, Ribbon - Michaels, Copic Sketch Markers, Ink - Memento Ink in Tuxedo Black, Image stamped on Xpress paper by Copic, Glitter - Stampin' Up! Dazzling Diamonds.

Pink Holidays!

Two posts in one day...WOW!  I decided to create another card using this image that I used on a prior posting dated October 20th, however, this time I used Pink & Red, which for me is something out of my comfort zone as far as Holiday cards go.  When creating Christmas cards, I tend to stick to the more traditional colors, however, I have to say I'm very pleased with the way it turned out.

Materials/Supplies used:  Cardstock - Papertrey Ink - Pure Poppy, Patterned paper - My Minds eye "Wonderful Winter", Image stamped on X-press paper by Copic, Imaged stamped with Memento Ink - Tuxedo Black, Copic Sketch Markers, Stampin' Up! - Dazzling Diamonds glitter, Ribbon - Papertrey Ink - Pure Poppy, Martha Stewart punch around the page punch,

Sarah Kay ~ Jean-Luc playing ball with Claude

Inside of card

Well, I'm back once again with another amazing image from Sarah Kay stamps by Stampavie.   I colored the image with Copic markers and used Spellbinder Nestabilities Small deckled rectangles to cut my image out.  The paper line I used is from a 6" x 6" Pinkpaislee paper pad called "Queen Bee"....and finished it up with some roses from Wild Orchid Crafts.

Supplies/Materials used Cardstock by Papertrey Ink - Vintage cream, image was stamped on Choice Cardstock by Taylored Expressions in Buttercream, Pattern paper - Pink Paislee Queen Bee, flowers - Wild Orchid Craft, Leaf & Butterfly punch - Martha Stewart, Self-adhesive Pearls - Zva Creative, stamped image with Memento Ink in Tuxedo Black, Distressed card using Tim Holtz Distress ink in Vintage photo.

Happy Halloween!!

I hope everyone is having a great weekend so far.  Before heading out to our neighborhood Halloween block party, I wanted to get this post out......here are some more Halloween cards I wanted to share with you.

The first one is using a stamp set from Close to My Heart that I purchased on Ebay (sorry, I don't know what it's called, no label on the package)....colored it in with Copics, used some Stickles on the stars for the twinkle effect and covered the ghost with Stampin' Up Diamond dust glitter....

For this second card, I used an old Stampin' Up set called Web Wishes

On both of these, I used a really cute set that I found at my local scrapbook store called Masked Dog by Shirley's 2 Girls.

On this one I used a Stampin' Up set called Haunting Halloween
And this is one of my fur babies taking a nap with her blankie and pillow...

I hope you all have a wonderful and Happy Halloween!  Thanks so much for stopping by!

I used an old paper stack from last year from My Minds Eye - Signature Christmas and colored the image using Copic Sketch markers.  To give it added dimension, I added Liquid Applique to his hat and the falling snow ~ I'm really happy with the end results.  Thanks again Tracy, I'll be using this on some of my Holiday cards.  The card measures 5" x 5".

Birthday Blog Candy!

I can't believe another birthday has come by.....so soon!  I don't remember birthdays showing up so quickly when I was younger, it seemed like a loooong ways to go before my next birthday would show up, now, I feel as if it was not so long ago, and here I am celebrating another year older......Although I'm not complaining, because I love what comes with birthdays, PRESENTS...LOL!

My hubby has totally spoiled me this year....I have been asking for a sewing machine for sometime now, I have a Janome Sew Petite machine, but I wanted something a bit more heavy duty, that I could do more than just work with paper, and I got it today....my DH got me a Singer, a Martha Stewart Pick.  He also got me a Gypsy, I had been debating on whether or not I really wanted a Gypsy, since I don't really use my Cricut that often, but with all the amazing things that I've been seeing on YouTube, I was convinced.  Along with those great goodies, he knows I LOVE watches, so he also got me a Coach watch....it's beautiful along with some smell em' good em's, Beauty by Calvin Klein....it smells sooo good!

I also want to thank Tracy & Julie, for the wonderful goodies they sent me as well as the adorable cards they created for me.   Thank you both for your thoughtfulness!

              Tracy's Card                                  Julie's Card

Now, on to the blog candy....en light of Halloween being right around the corner, I am giving away the following goodies to one of my lucky followers, however, you must have left a message on this blog post in order to become eligible to win, I will announce the winner on Sunday night.....Thanks again for celebrating with me and stopping by!

Make a Wish!

I was excited to try this "frame" like card fold that I learned how to create from watching Beate Johns tutorial on Splitcoaststampers channel on Youtube.  I have to say, she makes it looks so easy.....there were so many measurements, scoring and cuts, that I almost gave up on it.  As you can see, that was not the case...... I did it!  Maybe my second one will feel easier.

I used a House-Mouse "Make a Wish" stamp, colored it with Copic markers, used Stickles Star Dust on the frosting and cut the image out using Spellbinders Nestabilities Labels Three.
This card measures 5 1/4" x 5 1/4"

Hope you like it!

Supplies/Materials used:  Cardstock: Papertrey Color Collection - Ocean Tides, Pattern Paper - K & Co Berry Sweet, Heidi Grace & g.c.d. - Rose Colored Glasses Collection; Stamped image on Taylored Expressions Choice Cardstock - Buttercream: Stamp - House-Mouse Make a Wish; Ribbon by Papertrey Ink Vintage Cream Luxe Satin; Pearls by Recollections; Punches - Scalloped circle, 1 1/4" circle by Stampin' Up!, Cupcake edge punch by Ek Success; Copic Sketch Markers (E00,E30, E31, R20, V01, V12, V15, BG11, BG72)

Now, if only spiders where really this cute.....eeek!

I used a Magnolia stamp called "Tilda with Spider" and colored her with Copic markers.  The pattern paper I used was from Recollections Halloween stack from 2009.  I've been really trying to use up all my older Halloween paper collections that I've horded over the years......since Halloween is my favorite holiday, you can just imagine the amount of paper I have and continue to purchase.

Time Out

I couldn't wait to use one of my newest stamps from S.w.a.L.k by Crafter's Companion called "Time Out".  There are 12 different sets and they are all so cute.

These are the ones that I purchased from 7 kids college fund:

Aren't they too cute??  They come only with the rubber, you have to purchase EZ Mount foam and cut the image out.  I stamped my image using Memento Ink in Tuxedo Black onto the new paper that just came out called X-press it blending card in Bright White from Copic.  I LOVE IT!!  I then colored it using Copic markers....this paper makes blending such a cinch!

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Fabulous Friend

I am honored to have received this award from my very supportive and fabulous friend Tracy at I Wanna Build a Memory.  Tracy has been a faithful follower of my blog and always so encouraging.  I am so very blessed to have met (not personally, but via this great blogging world) such a wonderful and amazing crafter.  I really appreciate your support Tracy!

There are two sentences that I must complete as a part of receiving this award.....and they are as follows:

The best project I've ever made was...... my very first paper bag mini album.  It may not seem to be the best to many, and even though it was my "first" mini album I created, I love it because I put my heart and soul in creating it and I was so proud of myself....it was my very first creation.

I like to craft because..... it's my way of relaxing. I enjoy spending countless hours in my craft room.  I feel happy and content when I create.

I am passing this award along to three more fabulous bloggers:

Darlene at Darlene Designs

These are my three picks, and they are all Fabulous!!

Thanks again Tracy for making my day!

Treak-or-Treat

It's that time of year again, my favorite holiday is approaching quickly...HALLOWEEN!  It's funny though, as I kid, I dreaded dressing up, maybe because we had to use those plastic masks around our faces, how times have changed.  I use to always want to dress up as Strawberry Shortcake, that was my favorite costume.

Here is one of my Magnolia Stamps that I colored with Copic markers, I went crazy with the Stickles as you can see....I used the Martha Stewart punch for the edges, and I love how that broken web came out, webs aren't perfect.  I thought to re-do it, but the more I looked at it, the more I liked it.

Supplies/Materials used:  Cardstock - Stampin Up!, Designer Paper - Cloud 9 and Recollections Halloween (2009), Martha Stewart web punch, Stickles - Star Dust, Sentiment stamp - Hero Arts (Happy Halloween), Image Stamp- Magnolia Stamp, Pearl embelishements - Michaels brand, Copic Sketch Markers, Pop-Up dots - EK Success.

Life's a Beach!

I'll start off by admitting that, "I'm not a fan of Summer", specially here in Arizona, where our Summers are not something we can enjoy.  When we use to live in California, I remember asking myself, "How do people live in that Arizona heat?", guess what? you just do!  You eventually acclimate, although, I don't think I'll ever acclimate to 115 degree weather....once it's past 110 degrees, WOW!  We're cooking!  But it's all worth it, because our Winter and Spring weather is to die for....just perfect.

I thought this image would be a perfect reflection of  Summer, even though I was not much of a beach goer, so I can't say I miss it, but it's a nice and refreshing thought.

This is one of my most recent stamp purchases, it's a House-Mouse image called Beach Bums.  I was very pleased with the way this card turned out.  I used Copic markers to color the image, sprinkled some Dazzling Diamond Stampin' Glitter all over the sand, which by the way, I love the look that gave, followed by cardstock from Stampin' Up and designer paper from Me & My Big Ideas - Destination Paradise.  The finished card size is 5"x 5".

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you are all having a great Summer!

Materials used:

Card base - Stampin' Up - Vanilla cardstock, layered cardstock - Stampin' Up - Taken with Teal, pattern paper - Me & My Big Ideas - Destination Paradise; House-Mouse Designs stamp - Beach Bums, Dazzling Diamonds Stampin' Glitter; Memento Ink - tuxedo black;

Sarah Kay - Spring is back

Here's another one of my Sarah Kay images that I love....these stamps are so detailed and so pretty, I am really impressed with the quality of the stamp.  I have stamped and colored so many of this same image, you'll be seeing many more cards with the same image different color.  I hope I don't bore you with it.

I used my Copic Sketch markers to color in the image.  I'm currently using two kinds of paper for when I color with copics.  The first one is called One Sheet Wonder by Couture Cardstock.  This paper is thick and does not bleed at all.  It allows the ink to remain on the surface longer so that it is easier to blend and you waste less ink.  The other paper I use is from Bee Paper Company, it's recommended for use with Copic Markers.  It is a thinner paper than the One Sheet Wonder from Couture Cardstock, but it too, works so well with these markers.  Being it that the paper is thinner, you will see a little bit of the ink on the back of your paper, however, you will still get wonderful results.

Thank you for stopping by!

Materials used:  Card base - Stampin' Up Very Vanilla cardtstock, layers - Cosmo Cricket, Stamp - Sarah Kay, Ink - Mememento Ink in Tuxedo Black, 3D-Dots by EK Success, Edge & Fern punches - Martha Stewart, Half Pearls - Michaels brand, flowers - Wild Orchid Crafts, Copics

Sarah Kay

Hope everyone had a great weekend!  Lots has been happening and I'm hoping that everything will begin to get back to normal, whatever "normal" really is....

Well, I had ordered a few of the Sarah Kay stamps from 7 kids college fund.  Before Tracy mentioned them to me, I had not seen them or heard of them, however, I fell in love with them when I did.  I bought a few of them about a month ago and I hadn't really done anything with them, since one of them was a birthday present for Tracy and I wanted it to be a surprise.  I am definitely going to be getting more, now that I have been so impressed with the quality of the stamp and all the beautiful detail.

Hope you like it!  Thanks for stopping by...
