I made this card for a friend of mine as a "Thinking of You/Thank you" card. With this card I wanted to give it a really grungy-distressed look.....and I was very happy with the results. Now, for the stitched look, I used rub-ons.... doesn't it looks so real? I colored my Magnolia image with my Copic Sketch markers, distressed all of the paper using a Stampin' Up! spot in Chocolate Chip and a sponge dabber and my handy-dandy edge distressing tool by Heidi Swapp. Using my Coluzzle oval shape cutter, I cut my image out, carefully going around the feet, flower and head....I used my scissors to finish those parts off. I really love the way this card came out....
Cardstock used: Chocolate Chip by Stampin' Up!, Designer Paper: Basic Grey-Origins, Stamped image using Memento Ink-Tuxedo Black onto Bee Paper by the Bee Paper Company (recommended for use with copic markers), Tools: Coluzzle, Edge distresser by Heidi Swapp, Misc: Rub-ons by Autumn Leaves, Pop-dots by Ek Sucess, Tombow Mono adhesive Glue.
This is precious Sil! Smart idea to cut around the outside parts. Love that DP! You should be proud of how it came out. It's Wonderful! Hugs!
