My New found LOVE....Magnolia Stamps and C.C. Design stamps

You would think that I'd have some cards to show by now......but one thing is for sure, I will have plenty of stamped images when I do begin my card making process. I have found my new favorite stamps to color...yes, Magnolia Stamps....don't get me wrong, I still love ALL my House-Mouse stamps and those are trully my favorite to color, however, I challenged myself to these stamps as well as the C.C. Design stamps.

Here are just a few of the images that I've colored so far:

I have plenty more to color:
Now on to my House-Mouse.....

I also purchased a few of the C.C. Design stamps, but haven't gotten to those yet:

I am really going to challenge myself to start using up these images and start making some cards.....hopefully my next posting will be of that....my cards.  In case you are interested in purchasing Magnolia Rubber Stamps, I got them from their website: http://www.magnoliastamps.us/store2/ , the C.C. Design stamps I got from: http://www.allthatscraps.com/

How I add background color to my stamped images...

I have to start by saying this is not a technique I came up with....I have to give the credit to Jeanie, her Youtube link is: www.youtube/user/thespottedchick.  You may also visit her blog at:  http://www.thespottedchick.blogspot.com/ ~ her cards are all so beautiful and amazing.

I posted a video on my Youtube channel, titled "What I've been up to...." and in this video, I shared my love for Copic markers.  I am a newbie, so be gentle.  I received many requests on how it is that I added the background color to my stamped images, so here is my tutorial.

I have to say that I am so, so, hooked....I cannot stop coloring.  So, I've been visiting lots of blogs of ladies who are "pros" at coloring with these markers....and I've learned a lot.  I came across Jeanie's blog and noticed she had posted a link to her first Youtube tutorial...I was so happy.  This is where I learned how to add color to my stamped image resulting in an amazing look.

Okay, so I'm off to color some more....Thanks for stopping by!

3 x 3 Cards Using my Stampin' Up Watercolor Crayons

I was really anxious to try out my new Stampin' Up Watercolor crayons, so I decided to use them with my new set of stamps that I also purchased from Stampin' Up called "A Flower for all Seasons". The paper I used was from the DCWV stack called Flower Shower Spring Stack.

I started by stamping my image onto Stampin' Up watercolor paper. I really love using this watercolor paper.

I then, using my waterbrush, lightly pulled off the color off the color of the crayon I wanted to use and started to color my image. The colors went on so smooth and the results were great. I was really pleased with them.

Now the plastic boxes, I have had them for some time now. I don't remember where I purchased them from. I will do some research and as soon as I find out, I will post it on here. I think they will do cute little gifts for friends and family.

"Thank You" & "Thinking of You" cards

I couldn't wait to get started as soon as I received these stamps. I am really into birdcages and bird stamps at the moment, so I knew these were a must to get started.

The paper I used for these cards is from K & Co., and the stamps used are from My Cute Stamps called Ashley's Blossoms. The inspiration came from Michelle Wooderson. She created this card and I just had to bring it out to life on Youtube.
