In Loving Memory of my Baby Girl

It is so difficult for me to write this post, but I wanted to dedicate it to my beautiful baby.  She became ill last Thursday, it seemed as though it was nothing more than a bacterial infection, we took her to the Vet on Monday, he ran so many tests, sent us home with medication, but she just couldn't hang on anymore, she passed away early Tuesday morning.  Apparently, she had cancer, and there would of been nothing we could have done for her.....I am crushed, I can't seem to find any comfort in anything I hear....and most of all there is this horrible void that I can't stand.  We have no kids, so our dogs are like our kids....we rescued her in July 2001 and since then, she brought us so much joy, she enjoyed sun bathing, loved her blankies and always followed me everywhere....

I know I said I would get better with my blog postings, but I hope you can all understand, I won't be posting for a while.....I'll be back, I just need some time to heal.
Thank you all for your understanding!

House Mouse - With all my heart

I hope everyone has a very lovely day today!  Today we are using a House-Mouse stamp called with all my heart.  When I purchased this stamp, I had the perfect paper in mind, it's by Little Yellow Bicycle ~ Cupcake love collection.   The designer paper is filled with conversation hearts, which suits the stamp well. I stamped my image onto Copic X-press blending card paper using Memento Ink in Tuxedo black, then colored my image using Copic markers.  I added glitter to the hearts in order to make them stand out, then cut the image and scalloped layer using Spellbinder Nestabilities.  This was a very quick card to create!

Happy Valentine's Day!

Materials/Supplies used:  Cardstock - Papertrey Ink, Designer Paper - Little Yellow bicycle (Cupcake Love), Stamp - House-Mouse Designs (with all my heart), Spellbinder Nestabilitie Die Cuts, Ribbon - Joann's, Glitter - Dazzling Diamonds by Stampin' Up!, Copic Sketch Markers

Tilda with many hearts

Happy Friday everyone!!  I hope you all had a great week and will continue to have a great weekend!

This adorable image is yet another Magnolia stamp, it's one of my new purchases, it is from the "You are so special collection", called Tilda with many hearts.  I started by stamping the my image onto Copic X-press it blending card paper using Memento ink in Tuxedo black.  I colored my image using Copic markers, then added some shading on the edges using Tim Holtz Distress Ink in Victorian Velvet.  As you'll notice, most of my layers have been stitched, (yes, I'm still trying to get that hang of that thing...my sewing machine).  The designer paper is from K & Co Kelly Panacci Valentine 12 x 12 paper stack, the cardstock used was from Papertrey Ink.  The ribbon came from Michaels Celebrate it Valentine, I used my Bow-Easy to create the double bow (i really like it), and hung a charm from the bow.

Have a great weekend everyone, and thank you for stopping by!

Materials/Supplies used:  Cardstock - Papertrey Ink, Designer Paper - K & Co Kelly Panacci Valentine 12 x 12 stack, Stamp - Magnolia (Tilda with many hearts), Ribbon - Michaels Celebrate it Valentines, Punch - Martha Stewart, Charm - unknown, Copic Sketch markers.

Cupid Tilda

I hope everyone is doing well!  Let's see, my first Valentine Card posting....hmm! I'm a bit behind, but I've managed to catch up.  I promise to work on getting better with my blog postings....I'm kind of on a roll right now, so you'll be seeing more of my posts more often.

Okay, now on to my card.  I've had this stamp for over a year now (pretty sad, I know!), so I told myself I was going to use it this year no matter what.  I've kind of been neglecting my Magnolia stamps, so I've decided it's time to start playing with them.  The cardstock I used was Rose Red from Stampin' Up!, the designer paper is from the Martha Stewart mat pad.  The image was colored using Copic markers, added Jewel Glitter Ritz (Opaque Micro Fine Glitter) in Pink Rose to the dress and the hearts on the image.  I cut the large heart using my Nestabilities - Classic Scalloped Heart, and the smaller heart (using the largest heart in the set) with the Nestabilities - Classic Heart.  The flowers I used are from Wild Orchid Crafts, my favorite place to shop for flowers and the leaves are from a Martha Stewart Punch.

Hope you like it and thanks so much for stopping by!

Supplies/Materials used:  Cardstock - Stampin' Up! (Rose Red, Pretty in Pink), Designer paper - Martha Stewart Holidays Mat Pad, Stamp - Magnolia Rubber Stamps (Cupid Tilda), Flowers - Wild Orchid Crafts, Martha Stewart Punch - Leaves, Pearls - Michaels brand, Glitter - Jewel Glitter Ritz in Pink Rose by In the Making Enterprises, Stamped sentiment by Hero Arts Heart to Heart set, Copic Sketch Markers, Tim Holtz Distress Ink - Victorian Velvet

MY COPIC CERTIFICATION

I completed the class yesterday in Phoenix and it was great!!

I enjoyed having Jennie Black as our instructor, she gets right down to business and was very helpful.  I loved her straight forward attitude as she says it like it is.  I met some great ladies and fellow crafters from all over Arizona.  I got the pleasure of sharing a seat next to Chris, she is one of the owners of my local scrapbooking store Crop Girls, we had a blast coloring.

Left home at 7:00 a.m. on a Sunday  ~ reason being we had the PF Chang Rock & Roll Marathon taking place in downtown Phoenix, the class was on Central Ave and the race made a loop all around the city, so I knew we were going to have street closures and I wanted to make sure I was not trapped in one of them.

I can't wait to take the Intermediate certification class that will be taking place here in Phoenix on April 11th, with Sherrie Siemens and Debbie Olsen.  It's going to be so much fun.
Here's a peek of my certification.....woo-hoo!

These are all the goodies we received

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Being with you.....makes Christmas special

Inside of Card

This is a brand new stamp set I just recently purchased at my local scrapbook store, it's a brand I'm not familiar with called Impression Obsession, I just loved this image, it reminded me of my hubby and me.
I really liked the quality and they stamp so well.

As you can see, I can't seem to get enough of this paper, it's the My Minds Eye ~ Wonderful winter, I seem to be in the pink & red holiday mood this year....I also wanted to try the Flower Soft in Polar White, it's my first time trying this and I'll be honest, I can't say I love it yet, but I like it so far.  I used the Flower Soft glue to apply the Flower Soft, then pressed softly and let it sit for awhile, I then removed the excess....I applied Stampin' Up! dazzling diamond onto the Snowman and Snowlady and colored it using Copic Sketch markers.

Thanks for stopping by!

Materials/Supplies used:  Cardstock - Papertrey Ink (kraft & Pure Poppy, Patterned Paper - My Minds Eye Wonderful Winter, Image was stamped on Taylored Expressions - Buttercream, Punches - Martha Stewart scallop with hearts & Artic Snowflake, Button - Making Memories, Rhinestones - Kaiserkraft, Stampin' Up! - Dazzling Diamonds, Flower Soft and Flower Soft glue by Flower Soft, Copic Sketch Markers, Ink - Memento Ink in Tuxedo Black, Spellbinders Nestabilities Square scallop, Pop- up dots by Ek Success, lace (unknown).

House Mouse - I'm dreaming of a White Christmas

Hi Everyone! Here's one of my favorite House-Mouse stamp images....isn't it too cute?  Well, I finally got to use my new sewing machine ~ okay, I know I need a lot of practice, it took me a while to learn how to get it up and running, that outta tell you how much I know about sewing, but I really want to learn, so I'm thinking about taking a class, we'll see how that goes.   I had a difficult time trying to get the stitch straight, I suppose I can get away with it by just saying it adds character to my card...LOL!  I'm going to have to practice that some more.

I used Basic Grey- Wassail 6"x6" paper pad and for my card base I used Stampin' Up! cardstock in Very Vanilla as well as Papertrey Ink cardstock in Pure Poppy, I stamped my image onto Buttercream paper by Taylored Expressions using Memento Ink in Tuxedo Black.  Colored my image using Copic Sketch markers, then cut image using Spellbinders Nestabilities Large Labels and used Scalloped Rectangles for the layer, distressed the edges using Tim Holtz distress ink in Vintage Photo, added rhinestones onto the 4 corners of the scalloped square and applied Stampin' Up Dazzling Diamonds onto the furry part of their Santa hats.  For the sentiment, I used a Christmas stamp set from Recollections that I purchased at Michaels.

I've entered this card into the House-Mouse challenge #84

Thank you for stopping by!

Sarah Kay - Noel Joy

It's finally starting to get a bit cold (and I say that lightly), here in Arizona, well, atleast in the area that I live in.  I can't seem to get inspired to create Christmas/Holiday cards when it's warm and sunny out, it's just not happening.

Okay, so here is another wonderful image from Sarah Kay by Stampavie called "Noel Joy".  I think she is just lovely!  I colored my image using Copic Sketch markers and added Stampin' Up dazzling diamonds glitter onto the furr of the coat as well as the patch of snow beneath her, and just a dust of it on top of the mailbox (it's difficult to see the glitter on the photo, but it really makes the image stand out in person).
Using tiny red gemstones, I applied them to her hat to similate the berries.  The paper I used was from a My Minds Eye paper stack called Sweet Dreams Holiday Avenue.

As far as the sentiment goes....well, I couldn't make up my mind just yet what I wanted to use, so I'm going to wait until I'm ready to mail it,  then I'll decide on what sentiment to add to it.

Materials/Supplies used: Cardstock - Stampin' Up! Real Red, Pattern paper - My Minds Eye, Gemstones - both red & clear by The Paper Studio, Ribbon - Michaels, Copic Sketch Markers, Ink - Memento Ink in Tuxedo Black, Image stamped on Xpress paper by Copic, Glitter - Stampin' Up! Dazzling Diamonds.

Pink Holidays!

Two posts in one day...WOW!  I decided to create another card using this image that I used on a prior posting dated October 20th, however, this time I used Pink & Red, which for me is something out of my comfort zone as far as Holiday cards go.  When creating Christmas cards, I tend to stick to the more traditional colors, however, I have to say I'm very pleased with the way it turned out.

Materials/Supplies used:  Cardstock - Papertrey Ink - Pure Poppy, Patterned paper - My Minds eye "Wonderful Winter", Image stamped on X-press paper by Copic, Imaged stamped with Memento Ink - Tuxedo Black, Copic Sketch Markers, Stampin' Up! - Dazzling Diamonds glitter, Ribbon - Papertrey Ink - Pure Poppy, Martha Stewart punch around the page punch,

Supplies/Materials used Cardstock by Papertrey Ink - Vintage cream, image was stamped on Choice Cardstock by Taylored Expressions in Buttercream, Pattern paper - Pink Paislee Queen Bee, flowers - Wild Orchid Craft, Leaf & Butterfly punch - Martha Stewart, Self-adhesive Pearls - Zva Creative, stamped image with Memento Ink in Tuxedo Black, Distressed card using Tim Holtz Distress ink in Vintage photo.
